THE CAST

CATHY AZANZA (Cinderella)

Cathy is Philippine musical theatre's new and rising leading lady. She has played many memorable lead roles in numerous theatre productions such Gay Birds, Moose Murders, I Love You You're Perfect Now Change, Man of La Mancha, The Secret Garden, Cactus Flower, Jack and the Beanstalk, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Mr. 80%, Proposals, Oliver, Funny Money, Annie and Miong (all for Repertory Philippines). For other local theatre groups, Cathy has performed lead roles in Doubt, Beauty and the Beast, Baby, Urinetown, The Rocky Horror Show (for Atlantis); Once On This Island (for AAI); The Little Mermaid (for Trumpets); and The Romance of Magno Rubio (for Ma-Yi Theatre Company). Cathy has had extensive voice training, and has taken an Advance Musical Theatre Performance workshop conducted by faculty members of the New York University- American Music and Dramatic Academy. She has also done numerous films, TV hostings and commercials, as well as performed live in many corporate events and live shows. She also regularly teaches acting workshops. Into the Woods is Cathy's first production with the New Voice Company.
