MISSY MARAMARA (Narrator)
Missy made her NVC debut in the Filipino version
of The Vagina Monologues, first covering all the parts,
and then playing all the roles for the national touring production.
She has also guested in every VDay/ NVC production of the show
since 2002. For New Voice Company, she has also starred in Stop
Kiss. Missy has since gone on to become a well respected and much
admired stage actress, and has garnered critical acclaim for many
of her theatre roles. Her theatre acting credits include: High
School Musical (Blue Repertory); He-Me-She-It (Virgin
Labfest); Shock Value, Lysistrata, El Publico (Fulaang
UP), Ang Aksidenteng Kamatayan Ng Anarkista, Bayanbayanan,
Don Juan, Ang Pagpapaamo Sa Maldita/ Taming of the Shrew, La Vida
es Sueno, Twelfth Night, Merchant of Venice (Tanghalang Ateneo);
and Ligawang Ligaw (Tanghalang Pilipino), among many
others. Missy is a resident member of Silly People's Improvisation
Theatre (SPIT). Her screen credits include: Ala Pobre Ala
Swerte, Maria Flor de Luna, Maging Akin Ka Muli and Kay
Tagal Kang Hinintay. Missy is also a rising theatre director,
having directed many productions for Dulaang Laboratory, Ateneo
Library for Women's Writing, Ateneo De Manila University, Miriam
College High School, and Ateneo De Manila. She is presently completing
her MA in English Literature and Cultural Studies at the Ateneo
University.
